Shedding new light on Dyslexia

Dyslexia is not a learning disability although all fingers point to education. Naming something and then continuing our focus based on what we have named is easy and comfortable. Yet symptoms are sometimes misleading and in this case, they are.

Sure there are difficulties but we need to leave those aside for a while to see the bigger picture or we are stuck in one very limited perception, which ultimately has no answers and no “cures”.

Dyslexics have a completely different perception of reality that non-dyslexics cannot grasp. Why? Again, I’ll use terms for lack of better ones, although they too have been over-used…

The True Masculine

The true masculine is not to provide stability, security, non-changed realities out of fear. He is to provide encouragement, wonder, support, freedom, the eagle’s view...

The warrior, the quiet sufferer, the wise and confident one, the true lover!

He can be patient because he has been hurt.

He can be confident because he is not dependent but free.

He is devoted in his choices because he has resurrected himself. He searches no more for his is found.

He can be supportive because he has felt doubt. He can respect because he values individuated expression.

He can admire and cherish because his attention is totally and willfully focused.

He can protect without crippling or preventing because he is an equal, because he has conquered and therefore recognizes all fear.

Guided from within!

Take time to go over each aphorism, thinking about your own life, observing your actions, thoughts and emotions each time.

The phrases that most resonate with you are the ones you need to concentrate on now in your life. You can always come back later and read it again… other phrases will pop out and “speak” to you.

These are not all of course, just a head start, to form your own list of inner guidance.

Consciously decide to do things differently. Be sure to change at least something each day, no matter how small.

Take notice of the details; your own and others’ too.

Stop wasting time on unimportant things. Remember, all you have is time; use it wisely.

Fear or Phobia?

Fear and phobia are two very different things, which I think we have totally confused in our minds. The biggest “spiritual” programming going around these days is that fear is opposite to love and that fear limits us.
Fear is an emotion, whereas phobia is a state of being. Like all emotions, fear shows you what you need to look at. It might be the basic emotion of all “negative” emotions (all the categorizations are of the left-brain’s programming), but it also takes you to the core of your being, if you are willing to go there.

Fear is based not only on your body’s survival instincts which are registered in your cells’ memory but also on your soul’s memory throughout your existence. It connects you to your all-time experiences, in ways that the rational, linear mind cannot understand, nor does it accept.

Lucid Living

It is not enough to try to remind yourself every now and then that “you are in a dream” or to ask the other co-actors of the dream, “if this is a dream”. Both practices are equally popular and equally self-defeating.

Trying to convince yourself that “you are not in a dream”, by looking around you and thinking that reality is objective, is also a self-defeating, phobic approach, in the effort of controlling life. How can you convince yourself, in either way, that life as you know it is a dream, when you are totally submerged into acting out the dream, not realizing that you are creating it in your mind?

Things are moving swiftly nowadays and the holograms are getting more and more tempting and vivid.

Right-brained

Most of the time, right-brained people do not exist in linear time in a conscious, focused way that left-brained people do.

It’s like they are on automatic pilot – having established a linear routine order that they follow and which they know works for them.

They feel safe in it and centered. Their subconscious takes over, something which they are very aware of thus they are grateful and permit the shift. They only "come back" to being focused in the linear here and now, if and when there is a need; a peculiar sound out of the ordinary, a hunch which calls them "back", a sudden thought needing their attention etc.

Do's and don't s of Dyslexia

Children with Dyslexia fall into a vast category of right-brained children, which includes children with Aspeger syndrome, AD(H)D and other "syndromes". Although each group has its own unique characteristics, as each individual also has, this vast category of right-brain dominant individuals have a totally different way of thinking, processing, perceiving that is not yet understood or appreciated, in our left-brain society.

This article gives a small insight to parents of these different, unique children. Its purpose is to provide a new outlook, a totally different perspective on dyslexia, our unique children and ourselves.

These are not things you will often come across, for a whole profit-based empire benefits from our ignorance, fear and guilt-based agreement to "fixing" our children. After decades of research, experience, teaching and learning, all I can honestly advise you, while reading this article, is to open your mind and trust your inner knowing for truth.

Rethinking learning

Considering what most of us have experienced at school and during our upbringing, some words, like “learning” have acquired a rather negative energy in our minds. We seldom (if ever) go back to change that initial subconscious interpretation.

The truth is that we continue to learn daily. What we learn and how we learn, depends on the degree that we are conscious of our self.

As you read the following text, think of the way a small child learns…

You learn when you don’t criticize yourself.

Every time you criticize yourself negatively, you impede learning, growing and changing. Every time you concentrate on what you have not yet achieved, what you are not, you draw away from your goal and that which you need to do in order to achieve it.

You learn when you move toward unfamiliar ground, when you abandon the familiar, the known.

Otherwise you merely repeat what you have already achieved. The purpose of life is to experiment, to change, to creation the new and to evolve from all that.
